The fi nal Atelier of 2017 concluded its four-city run in San Francisco, where top educators including Coby Alcantar, Kien Hoang, Louis Orozco and James Pecis took the stage to showcase three editorial looks developed by the brand team as well as client-friendly variations of the styles. After the team showcased their creations, attendees took center stage and crafted one of the three looks themselves. The result? Who holds the Guinness World Record for the longest manicure bar? OPI can officially claim this feat as its own after setting up a 155- foot long manicure table at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, CA. More than 50 nail technicians gave over 500 GelColor manicures using the brand's ProHealth Top and Base Coat. Actress Peyton List made sure to stop by during the record-breaking nail day, as did Tom Bachik, the newest global nail ambassador and celebrity manicurist. "It was a very exciting moment for OPI," says OPI cofounder and brand ambassador Suzi Weiss- Fischmann. world record OPI nabs a Guinness World Record for longest nail bar! We are deeply saddened to relay that Toni Mascolo, cofounder of TONI&GUY and TIGI, passed away on December 10th. "It is with great sadness that we want to share the passing of my brother Giuseppe Toni Mascolo," says Bruno Mascolo, who is also a cofounder of both brands. "Toni was a great leader, brother, husband, father and uncle. He is an icon in the salon world and loved by all who had the privilege of working with him over his 60-year career. Thoughts and prayers go out to the entire TONI&GUY family across the globe at this diffi cult time." Mascolo is survived by wife Pauline, children Sacha, Christian and Pierre, and many grandchildren.
