World View 112 | BEAUTY LAUNCHPAD | DECEMBER 2017 THE CREATIVE TEAM AT NÜVA BEAUTY & SPA IN MONTREAL, CANADA, CHANNELS A FAMOUS DISNEY VILLAIN FOR THEIR LATEST COLLECTION. —KK HAIR: THE CREATIVE TEAM AT NÜVA BEAUTY & SPA (REBECCA CUERRIER, ANGELO DI PASCA, CATHERINE LEBLANC AND MAGGIE SEMAAN; MAKEUP: MARIKA D'AUTEUIL; STYLING: ERIC THÉRIAULT B E A t he main antagonist in the Disney classic 101 Dalmatians, Cruella de Vil, is just as known for her wicked sense of fashion as she is for her wicked ways. Captivated after seeing images from the fi lm, Angelo Di Pasca, artistic director at Nüva Beauty & Spa in Montreal, Canada, along with the rest of the team decided to use the powerful white and black color contrast from the villainess' wardrobe as the inspiration for their latest collaboration. "The collection symbolizes a paradigm of two contrary forces," says Maria Gesualdi, the salon's marketing and events director. "Black represents power and strength, with deep devilish qualities; whereas white represents innocence and pureness." To achieve this particular look, the model's black hair was dyed and bleached with Davines color products. Creating diamond sections, the team placed the black and white areas as desired. "Although both colors are different and appealing in their own way, their beauty soars when meshed together, offering an exciting and edgy allure," remarks Gesualdi. Evil has never looked so good! (Note: Although Cruella de Vil may opt for real fur, the wardrobe featured in this shoot is faux.) D A N g E rO u s
