the runway at Elie Saab's Haute Couture fall/
winter 2017-2018 presentation.

W
inter is coming, and we're ready for it. For his Haute Couture
fall/winter show, designer Elie Saab melded a fantastical future
vision with past inspo, citing the HBO series Game of Thrones as
a source for this season's creations. Models were draped in fl oor-sweeping
gowns, matching capes and hooded veils made of velvet, silk and tulle in
power colors like red and royal blue with plenty of gold detailing. Hairstylist
Orlando Pita kept tresses feminine and romantic, focusing primarily on loose
waves with the occasional braid thrown in. He added volume and texture with
Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Dust It Mattifying Powder and Orlando Pita
Play Body Breakthrough Volume Boosting Hairspray, fi nishing off each style
with an embellished crown to "add toughness." Makeup artist Tom Pecheux
gave models metallic eyes, glossy gilded lips and bronzer, before topping
off the looks with yellow-gold highlighter along the cheekbones for ultimate
warrior queen appeal.
