92 | BEAUTY LAUNCHPAD | OCTOBER 2017 News COURTESY OF MANUFACTURERS Beauty Support Calling all beauty editors, infl uencers and anyone else who has excess beauty products! Celebrity stylist and Alterna Haircare ambassador Andrew Fitzsimons has offi cially launched the Trans Cosmetic Donation Program, which provides unopened and unused beauty products to service organizations that work with trans women and gender non-conforming people. To kick off the initiative, Fitzsimons hosted a cocktail party at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, and the event included a special appearance by RuPaul's Drag Race alum Gia Gunn. "I would love for this program to grow large enough to support LGBT/trans organizations nationwide," says Fitzsimons. "The more products and resources we receive, the more people we will be able to help." Visit lalgbtcenter.org for more information. —KK Actor Jeffrey Bower, RuPaul's Drag Race alum Gia Gunn and Andrew Fitzsimons. Rebel Cal l Inspiration: Tapping the rebellious attitude of icons from the '70s rock 'n' roll scene, KMS national artist Karen Cunningham bestows a "wispy muddled mullet" onto her model and adds an undone fi nish to the style for a more contemporary feel. Rock on! Erratum Apologies! In our September issue, we mistakenly featured the wrong headshot for Matrix artistic director Dan Csicsai in our Passion Project column. Right, please see Csicsai's actual image.
