C hange. Why do so many people fear it? After all, change is quite often a very good thing! In the pro-beauty fi eld, we love change. In fact, we count on it. It's just one of the reasons why I love this industry; it's fi lled with fearless personalities who are always at the forefront of what's next and are game to take on anything, including a new look. Purple hair? Don't care! Shorn 'do? It's a coup! And luckily, this enthusiasm for more drastic stylistic and color changes has been trickling down to clients slowly but surely. Hence why I'm thrilled with one of the central topics on tap for this month's issue: color. If you turn to page 76, "Shades of Summer," you'll see tons of hues and formulas that provide major inspo for clients seeking to switch it up a bit (or a lot!) for the impending season. Speaking of summer: It's almost upon us. Make sure to stock up your shelves with products that stave off the harmful effects of chlorine, saltwater and UV damage—including shade-refreshing and -protecting goods to preserve your color creations. Flip to page 58 to learn all about these seasonal must-haves. As for me, I've decided that a change is long overdue. Thus I recently cut my very long locks into a noticeably shorter style. Are you planning to switch up your look, or a client's style, this season? We want to see the changes! Tag @BeautyLaunchpad—your transformations may appear in an upcoming issue. Editor's Notebook While many balk at the idea of change, it's amazing to be part of an industry that embraces transition.
