The kick-off fete took place at the salon inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Pro-beauty rock stars John Paul DeJoria, Cardenas and business partner Marc Jay were of course in attendance. As DeJoria cut the ribbon, he addressed the crowd in homage to Cardenas's incredible talent: "Kelly is one of the great artists and from the moment I met him, I knew he was destined to be a star. I fl ew here straight from Texas to help celebrate tonight, and we are very proud to be associated with him and his team." Guests sipped cocktails by Moët Chandon, Belvedere, Patrón and Hug L'Originale, while DJ Twisted made sure all were dancing. There was even a photo booth, which duplicated the salon's own Color Bar, to ensure all the night's memories were lasting. Kadus stylists infi ltrated the revue, taking performers to the next level by coloring and styling each before call time. Working alongside Sebastian Professional top artists Anthony Cress and Katey-Bug Smith, Kadus top artists Caroline Kim and Justin Frost gave each lady the Sin City makeover of a lifetime, complete with vivid reds, voluminous waves and dramatic curls. Viva Las Kadus! The color revolution will be 'grammed—that is, if Schwarzkopf Professional has anything to say about it! The brand paired up with Kut Haus Salon in Claremont, California, to test the power of the brand's newest bonding innovations. Global ambassador and blonding expert Kim Vo¯ was on hand as Instagram stars Mustafa Avci, Linh Phan and Lisa Hart-Walker showed off their skills in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Each artist had a diff erent tactic: To create old Hollywood waves, Avci (@mustafaavci) applied BC Bonacure Fibre Force throughout his model's hair. Phan (@bescene) took his model from faded blonde to dimensional beige using Igora Royal Highlifts. Finally, Hart-Walker (@lisalovesbalayage) took her model from washed-out red to striking balayage blonde using Fibreplex.
