News We have a winner! After rigorously competing against fi ve other teams, the stylists from Mexico's SHE Salon have been named TLC's Global Beauty Masters. The group blew away the judges with their "Phoenix Rising" look in the season fi nale of the reality show, taking top honors. Before fi nally being awarded the title, the team had to complete a series of challenges, including making over cancer survivors, turning beauty bloggers into pinups and creating a look around the word "liberty." The Beauty Masters were judged by some of the best in the biz, including platform artist Charlie Price; celebrity makeup artist Vicki Starr; master educator Sam Villa; award-winning nail artist Amy Becker; and Cofounder and Chairman of the Board of John Paul Mitchell Systems (JPMS) John Paul DeJoria. Nicole Murphy, model and entrepreneur, hosted the fi nale alongside Kim V – o, master colorist. "It's a lot of emotions. I have around 25 years of experience doing hair and sometimes people don't believe in you. Finally, we did it. Now, I want to enjoy this award for the rest of my life," said Jorge Munoz, SHE Salon Team Leader. Aside from showcasing top talent from around the globe, this season of Global Beauty Masters also served as a platform for leading manufacturers to make their television debuts. Cuccio International, one of the show's sponsors, premiered its fi rst nationally televised commerical for Cuccio Naturalé Butter Blends, starring Robert Cromeans, Artistic and Business Director for JPMS.
