And whether it's wedding day or prom night, your client wants to look her best for the big event. Where better to source inspiration than the most glamorous place of all: Hollywood? Launchpad took to the red carpet to round up top 'dos sported by today's most stylish celebs, and tapped star stylists to tell you how to replicate the look, as well as products to help you achieve her hair goals. If she wants to channel fresh elegance, Kirsten Dunst's sleek knot conjures sophisticated grace at its best. "The effortless-looking chignon feels so fresh and organic," says Ruth Roche, Pureology Artistic Ambassador. "This is great for women who have style but are not fussy with their hair, and don't want to look like they tried too hard. It's 'understated cool.'" Roche's guide to getting the look: STEP 1 Spray a volumizing mist onto damp hair and blow-dry with a paddle brush, stroking back and forth across the head. STEP 2 Create a deep side part and apply a small amount of a densifying tonic to fi ngertips. STEP 3 "Comb" hair with fi ngers back into the nape area and secure with an elastic. STEP 4 Mist hairspray over the ponytail, then twist it and wrap around to create a small bun. STEP 5 Secure with pins. STEP 6 Finish with hairspray. Best D ay Ever!
