Jordan makes a case that precision barbering leads to the most dapper of men's 'dos. He'll look the part of a leading man by borrowing from Leonardo DiCaprio's slicked mop and pronounced part. "This is a versatile masculine fade," says Los Angeles-based barber Aiden Garcia-Sheffi eld. "It can be worn in any scenario; its ease of style carries over into daily w ear, but when paired with a dapper suit, transitions well for big events. So sharp!" Garcia- Sheffi eld's guide to getting the look: STEP 1 Create a bald guideline just below the parietal ridge using a 00000 clipper attachment, and at an angle that goes down with the round of the head. STEP 2 Using the same attachment, remove all the hair below the line you create. Then, graduate up in length going with 0A, then to a 1 attachment. STEP 3 Refi ne the fade. STEP 4 Revisit where the bald line was created with the 00000—go slightly below that, and shave either using a razor or foil shaver for the ultimate bald fade. STEP 5 If there is a line between the 00000 and the skin (there almost always is), refi ne it. STEP 6 On the top of the head, use a 1½ attachment and go with the grain to maintain wave pattern and darkness. "This is a lived-in, modern version of a classic look," says Lauren Milner, Wahl Education and Artistic Team Member. "Like your favorite pair of jeans, this look can be dressed up or down for any occasion. The great thing about this parted hairstyle is that it works for almost everyone, and depending on the styling products used, it can have a more fun, playful turn or a slicked-down conservative style." Milner's guide to getting the look: STEP 1 Thoroughly towel-dry hair, and apply a natural-fi nish styling cream from scalp to ends.
