LIVE WITH PASSION This month, we check in with Celebrity Stylist George Papanikolas to get the inside scoop on his "Celebrity To Reality" Programs of Passion class with Matrix. Stylists will learn how to re-create my signature sun-kissed look and my quick "salon-friendly" technique that I use on my celebrity clients. What do attendees learn? They learn my combination of freehand balayage and strategic foil placement for maximum impact. I show them that with as few as 9 to 13 foils they can create a dramatic color change that's fast, current and beautiful. What is your favorite part of teaching the class? The most rewarding part of teaching is seeing the artists succeed. I get tagged on social media after the class, so I can see students have really taken away a lot and upped their balayage game. What is the main takeaway you would like students to leave with? The stylists are able to easily re-create the celebrity looks their clients are asking for. They learn that you don't need to do 100 foils and spend six hours with a client to get great end results. Strategic placement gives the clients what they want. It also helps you book more appointments and improves your business with all the time you're saving! What classes would you like to teach in the future? I would love to do a brunette and redhead class. They require a different approach and restraint. What advice would you give to stylists considering a Passion class? Come with an open mind and be sure to follow up by implementing what you learn into your schedule that week; that way, you can start good new habits.
