Debuting in 1986 and out of print for nearly a decade, The Haircutter's Handbook is back and updated with the release of the The Haircutter's Handbook Thirty-three and a Third Anniversary Edition. Authored by salon owner and national educator David Kinigson, the handbook features three distinct sections to cover all bases of the biz, beginning with the "standard language of haircutting," which defi nes the foundation of cutting techniques; a "haircutters' training program" that includes an easily adoptable three- phase curriculum; and concludes with an apprentice manual, originally penned for Sassoon Salon Fifth Avenue NYC to provide instruction on how to empower trainees. As part of the book's revision, dry-cutting, couture hair, the keys to developing your passion and skills, as well as the "human element" of the job, are covered. The book also features commentary by some of the most legendary names in styling, including Dwight Miller, Van Council, Maryanne McCormack, Edward Tricomi, Howard McLaren, Nick Berardi, Eden Sassoon, and Maurice Tidy, among others. The Haircutter's Handbook Thirty-three and a Third Anniversary Edition will be available soon on Amazon.
