88 | BEAUTY LAUNCHPAD | SEPTEMBER 2018 News COURTESY OF PRAVANA WHO: Pravana WHAT: Vivids Carnival WHERE: Henkel Academy of Hair WHEN: July 22 WHY: The 2018 Show Us Your Vivids contest winners were honored at the new, state-of-the-art Henkel Academy of Hair with a carnival-themed party complete with an interactive rainbow booth, life-size boxes of Vivids, a tarot card reader, custom drinks, samba dancers, and more. The annual Pravana contest invites top colorists from around the world to compete for the title of the best Vivids artist by submitting their most awe-inspiring creative color work, and the contest is judged based on creativity, technique, execution and overall impact by masters behind the brand and guest judges. Pravana product development manager Lissette Cruz, accompanied by the Pravana Collective, announced the winners on stage at the event. This year's winners were Sarajane Maples (First Place), Aspen Rae Hogue (Second Place), Michelle Borbolla (Third Place), D'Arcy Lane (Star Student) and Victoria Carroll (Fan Fave). —KK First Place winner Sarajane Maples used a broad pallet of vivid colors combined with varying lengths of hair, hard and soft lines, and blunt edges. Aspen Rae Hogue's Second Place look showcases sharp edges with vibrant color that capture movement. Third Place winner Michelle Borbolla's look features stunning blending and a unique color combination. D'Arcy Lane used sophisticated techniques and color placement to win the Star Student award. With more than 60,000 likes, Victoria Carroll's entry was voted Fan Fave .
