FAROUK SYSTEMS The company's #Hairdressers4Hairdressers campaign tapped hairdressers, salons and schools across the country to participate in a cut-a-thon that raised money for the Professional Beauty Industry's Disaster Relief Fund, with 100 percent of the donations collected going toward relief efforts for hairdressers seeking to restore their businesses and livelihood post-disaster. In response to Hurricane Harvey, founder and CEO Dr. Farouk Shami also committed $5 million in products and tools to various shelters, churches, organizations, stylists and salons. KAO Kao USA Salon Division joined forces with the Professional Beauty Association Disaster Relief Fund by pledging $5,000 to help salon professionals rebuild their lives with short-term immediate assistance, in addition to $20,000 donated by Kao USA and Kao Corporation to the American Red Cross to assist in recovery efforts.
