The compilation blends soft textures and a unique mix of shapes worn either up or down, depending on the look. The image pictured features a special technique Blain calls "ribbon braiding," which she conceived as an alternative to standard braiding. "We've seen a lot of plaits lately and I wanted to try and change the braiding phenomenon into something different," Blain explains. "It's a very simple technique that I used to create three different looks for the collection. For this particular style, I crafted the ribbon braid on the side and then rolled the hair up into a loose chignon." Using a piece of satin ribbon, Blain then takes individual strands of hair and weaves them together with the ribbon, locking them in to form an interesting accessory through a unique knotting technique that she describes as "sort of like putting a label on a bag."
