After nearly two decades in the beauty industry, Saratoga Springs, New York-based hairstylist Krissy Nelligan was introduced to the ColorProof Evolved Color Care line of products. It was the science behind the product formulation that inspired her to join the team as an educator. Nelligan was just one of the almost 70 educators who attended the ColorProof Educator Training held in Dallas this past January with a similar narrative. The intense fi ve-day training welcomed seasoned and budding hairstylists alike for hands-on education and certifi cation. "This ColorProof educator training was in my opinion the single most amazing training I've ever been to. The feeling of family and support is truly unbelievable. I love that every one of the platform artists are amongst the entire team learning right along us. The skill and passion is at a level I've never before witnessed," Nelligan enthuses. Those platform artists and artistic specialists who presented included Sunnie Rushton from Erda, Utah; Chad White from Coal City, Illinois; Ruth Tedmori from Claremont, California; and Mel Paldino from Port Chester, New York. The presenters focused on the foundation of style and the presentation and training of Spectrum, ColorProof's 2017 haircut and style collection. Deriving inspiration from styles like the low pony, ultra volume, the wet look, crimped hair and extra length, the Spectrum collection fuses trends straight from the runway with real-life looks clients are dying to wear, notes Kelly Beam, the brand's vice president of marketing: "Spectrum offers a fresh approach with maximum versatility featuring bright, bold, statement-making color kept vibrant and healthy with ColorProof Evolved Color Care." The collection of inspiring styles gives completely customizable results for all hair types and textures using the ColorProof style arsenal from soft to fi rm holds and matte to high shine. Company founder and CEO Jim Markham was also in attendance in support of his team members, all of whom serve to make the company great. "It occurred to me that you are the vision of what we are doing," Markham said, addressing the crowd.
