ballerina buns
Pecis made the rounds for Spring/Summer
New York Fashion Week, this time with the
Awapuhi Wild Ginger collection at Ryan Roche's
presentation. The ballerina-esque interlocking
woven bun is both classically elegant and
freshly chic.
PSST! PECIS DESCRIBES THE TECHNIQUE [LEFT] USED
TO CREATE THE CONSISTENT, INTERLOCKING WOVEN
PATTERN AS BEING SIMILAR TO MAKING A FRIENDSHIP
BRACELET!
1 |
Dry hair, then create a clean center part.
2 | Liberally apply blow-out spray 1 to set and smooth hair
and combat frizz.
3 | Bring hair into a low ponytail, continuing to mist strands
with the blow-out spray.
4 | Fasten fabric to the base of the ponytail, then begin to
tie knots by working across the hair in sections (start on the
right side); braid the remainder of hair and tuck inside.
5 | Spread out the woven portion of the hair and attach it to
the back of the head with bobby pins.
6 | Set the look with fi nishing mist 2, using your hands
to smooth stray stands, and administer shine spray 3 for
increased sheen.
