T he concrete jungle comes alive as hair in rainforest hues dances across the page. This is Pure Heroine, a new collection from Adam Isles of Australia's rokk ebony salon. "Natural landscape elements are the inspiration for these new looks that are metamorphosed from the essence of '90s style," Isles explains. "Each look represents an environmental feature: the lava reds of a volcano, the blue hues of the ocean, the power of the sun, the textural tangle of pond moss, the play of light in the waterfall, the earthiness of the mountain and the denseness of the woodland." Of course, Isles says, while these looks may not be for everyone, "most importantly, these are hairstyles devised to inspire women to try, whether it be in morsel proportion or the full feast."
