"This undone look works best for a personality that loves style, but without much fuss…relying on a great haircut and some key products to create the fi nished 'do." Carreon's guide to getting the look: STEP 1 Prep the hair by spraying texturizer throughout to get the feel of two-day-old separation. STEP 2 From a middle parting take one side and wind the hair around a large curling iron, holding the tips of the hair in your fi ngers. Unwind and stretch out each coil. Spritz on hairspray before you begin ironing each section to lock in the waves and minimize fl yaways. STEP 3 Randomly continue winding the hair around the curling iron closer to the roots and mid-shaft, leaving longer ends out of the iron. STEP 4 Lightly dust a lifting powder into the back and sides of the hair to create a matte "pillow-hair" effect with sexy fl yaway ends. STEP 5 Finish by adding shine. "This undone style is versatile and perfect for any occasion," says Lucas Doney, John Paul Mitchell Systems International Trainer. "This style works because it looks natural and effortless, but the texture and separation add points of beauty interest. Best of all: Lots of times this look will get better as the day goes on. An added bonus for a special occasion that often lasts till the midnight hour!" Doney's guide to getting the look: STEP 1 Start with clean dry hair. Apply blow-out spray throughout. Express-dry the hair using your hand to create lift off the scalp and encourage texture. Use a round brush if necessary. STEP 2 Once the hair is dry, use a styling rod to create loose curls. Start by curling the hair around the front hairline away from the face. Throughout the rest of the hair, create alternating curls using vertical sections. This will craft loose ringlets with a little bit of drag at the base. STEP 3 After the hair has been curled, hang the head side to side, back and forward. Spray the ends of the hair with a texturizing mist while the hair is hanging. Use a blowdryer to loosen up the curls and enhance the texture of the end result. STEP 4 Dress and place the hair. Use fi nishing spray to lock the look. Kate W inslet Rachel McAdams KATE: STEVE GRANITZ/WIREIMAGE (2); RACHEL: JEFF KRAVITZ/FILMMAGIC GET THE LOOK GET THE LOOK D ress an d p lace the ha i
